Was bei "Gudrun Constructed" von Meredyth Sparks in Köln sofort auffällt, ist der offensichtliche Hang zum Kanonischen. Wie lange will man sich eigentlich noch an Roxy Music, der RAF und Joy Division abarbeiten?

Irgendwie passt das: Im Netz Sätze über Musik aus Berlin lesen, die von Menschen in Australien geschrieben werden. Und ein Buch zu machen, das von einer konkreten Lokalität erzählt, einer Flaniermeile mit schmerzhaften Ausschlüssen und spontanen Begeisterungsausbrüchen.

Achja, da darf jemand in der Süddeutschen einen Artikel über das Revival von Krautrock schreiben. Als ob der jemals verschwunden wäre.
Als ich zu Anfang des Jahrtausends in Manchester gewohnt habe, gab es einmal einen Sondernewsletter von Piccadilly Records. Der Inhalt: Johnny Marr ist im Laden gewesen! Und hat Krautrock gekauft! Das nur als Anekdote, denn wie man die kommende CD von Seeland (Genau! Ein Neu!-Zitat) in einem solchen Artikel nicht erwähnen kann, ist mir ehrlich gesagt, ebenso schleierhaft wie die Beschreibung, Krautrock bestehe aus einem "Nebel (...) endlos dahinwabernder Songs".
